Roberto was looking for his next piece of metal, and in fact, ASKED for something to appear. Even though he wasn’t expecting a license plate to appear, within 1 MINUTE, this license plate donated itself to Roberto’s cause of transforming so-called “garbage” into “Bad Ass” Art, Bart if you will.
This rose was a true labor of love, Robert having worked on it many hours while traveling into and out of The City of Chicago on buses and trains, which is where he gets much of his work done.
People often look on in amazement as Roberto transforms these seemingly unrelated pieces of metal into beautiful and quite unique form and function.
This Razor Roze’z stem is made from an old rusty piece of BARBWIRE that Roberto found in the mountains of Cortez Colorado in the Summer of ’21.
This rusty piece of BARBWIRE was polished with a hand file in just the right places, still displaying rust and shiny new metal all around. The stem was also partially wire-wrapped with a separate piece of PURPLE accent wire, which gives this piece a subtle touch of high-vibrational tones.
The “Bubble-Bottom” Glass Vase is filled with 3 Layers of different colored “Smooth-Edged Sea Glass” sourced from Chicago-area beaches this Summer: Brown Bottle Glass, Frosted Clear Glass and Aquamarine Glass.
Most of Roberto’s works are sold to collectors in Europe: Munich, Frankfort and Amsterdam, primarily. Very few pieces make their way BACK to The U.S.
Included with this sale will be a copper “plaque” hand-inscribed with an electric engraver by Roberto himself.
If you are planning a wedding or event and would like additional Razor Roze’z, please allow at least 45 DAYS if you are ordering a dozen or more Roze’z.
